About Universe in a Nutshell
Stephen Hawking is an eminent theoretical physicist and cosmologist. He has many research works and great contributions to the development of science today. He is also known as an author, having published such famous books as A Brief History of Time or Universe in a Nutshell.
The ideals and mysteries of the universe have been translated into text, with detailed explanations in the books. But if you find them too monotonous, you can find a new approach to these knowledge with the game Universe in a Nutshell. The theme and ideas of this game are taken from the book of the same name. You will have an exciting experience and approach the universe in a new way. The journey from micro to macro has only just begun. Are you ready to explore?
Journey of discovery from micro to macro
Have you ever wondered, what is the largest elephant in the world and how long are they? Is the sun burning, and what creates such a large source of energy, to be able to warm the Earth hundreds of millions of kilometers away? Or more macro things like the structure of white blood cells? Or what created life?
I didn’t often ask such questions before, but this game made me think. When I know about a thing, I keep wondering, why is it the way it is, what is its structure, and what causes it. Well, Universe in a Nutshell can answer most such questions. However, the answers do not appear visually, or attached to the question. All knowledge is modeled into corresponding images and information.

By swiping to Zoom-in and Zoom-out, you will have a new experience, from the microscopic world, which reflects every atom, every cell in the body, to the vast universe, about the formation of the formation and development of stars in the galaxy.
In the left corner of the screen, you can see a ruler with values from 10e-35(m) to 10e26(m). It is what humans can observe and have understanding. You can also slide this ruler to different range of values to find out the respective things.
Universe in a Nutshell – an interesting idea
Universe in a Nutshell was born thanks to two factors. The first is a book of the same name by author Stephen Hawking. Most of the knowledge provided in this game has been carefully filtered, and condensed into quite concise and easy to understand words.

Second, about the design part. Universe in a Nutshell was inspired by the website “scale of the universe”. If you’ve ever visited this site, you’ll find them to be quite similar. However, the arrangement of the components and the knowledge of them are different. In other words, this game is more detailed and convenient to access.
The operation in the game is very simple. Mostly just drag and tap. Drag to do Zoom-in, Zoom-out and tap to learn about something you want to know. How far is the farthest observable universe? What is the distance between the Milky Way and the nearest galaxy? What is the structure of the Carbon atom and why is carbon so important to life? All will be answered in detail. Tap to find out!
No annoying ads
Universe in a Nutshell does not include ads or in-app purchases. When you buy these games from the Google Play store or the App Store, you can experience them even without an internet connection.

Moreover, the developer is also constantly adding new knowledge and features in updates. You can update the game for free in the future.
