Style play
Survival adventure games often don’t have a clear story or mission, and so is The Wild Darkness. The game is about a young man who is accidentally hit by the spell of an evil sorcerer. When he woke up, he found himself transported to a strange, dark forest. No survival skills, no psychological preparation. It all started from zero and he had to learn how to survive immediately.
To be able to survive, you must first have food to sustain life and a safe shelter. You will have to do everything to help him. If luck lasts long, the game will unlock more characters to support the main character. Usually if you survive more than 100 days in the game.
However, The Wild Darkness is not as easy as you think. There are many difficult things on the way to collect materials, and you have to be wary of strange creatures in the dark out there. (When I first started playing, I could only play until the 7th day when it was “discolored”). What’s worse, if you unfortunately lose your life, you will have to go back to the starting point and start over.
Crafting tools
Not only is it a tool to help you collect materials and food faster, but it is also a weapon to help you fight aggressive monsters. Use materials like stones to create basic tools like knives or axes. As you level up, you will unlock more useful tools. And don’t forget to create fire – this is extremely important for survival. The Wild Darkness will give you the tools to create fire.
While exploring, you will discover a lot of items scattered along the way. Because the inventory is limited, consider the value of the items carefully before picking them up.
Dungeon Exploration
In The Wild Darkness, you can go on adventures through dark dungeons and collect items scattered throughout the dungeon. The dungeon was composed of two floors consisting of many different small rooms. While exploring the dungeon, you will have to confront the giants guarding the room. Victory over them, a door will be opened. This is where you find the missing tablet. Bring it back to the Ruins of Light, with it you’ll unlock a bunch of new unique recipes.
Keep the fire burning
Time in The Wild Darkness goes by pretty quickly, but that doesn’t make the night any less dangerous. When darkness gradually covers, mysterious creatures begin to work. They have special strength, high endurance and only succumb to the light emitted from the torch. So to survive, you must make sure that your torch is not extinguished.
Although it is very dangerous and your speed will be slowed down, exploring the world at night is quite stimulating and enjoyable. However, you also need to make sure your character has enough time to rest and recover to do daytime tasks.
Bring food with you
Movement will drain the character’s stamina quickly. You can replenish your stamina by eating fruits and vegetables that are randomly found in places you have just passed. However, eating cooked foods will help you recover more and sometimes they even have a healing effect.
Foods have a limited shelf life, so you can cook them and take them out to replenish at any time.
