Plot
The setting takes place in an area known as “The Cage”, which contains towers and dungeons, sometimes even a future. The main character of the game is Fio, a girl who wakes up on a stone floor and has no voice or memory. She adventured the dungeon with a strange being who called herself Mama. In search of the lost memory fragments, Fio and Mama continue to adventure and uncover the mysteries in the dungeon.
Style play
Square Enix did not rely on the success of NieR and NieR:Automata to develop NieR Re[in]carnation that turns in another direction. The popular hack and slash gameplay has been transformed into an RPG, an innovative step of the NieR series. You can control the character in a 2D or 3D environment depending on the storyline, but when you enter the battle, you fight in a turn-based style.
Your team consists of 3 members. You can still move the character in a certain area and attack by pressing the skill key on the screen. To experience the full plot of the game, you need to overcome many levels and dungeons to unlock. The power of the dark creatures will increase gradually, so along with the experience of the plot, you need to increase the strength of the characters. Increasing the strength of the squad by increasing levels, obtaining equipment, assistants … for your characters are essential things you need to do.
