Games, like life, always bring different emotions: joy, sadness, excitement, stress, serenity and of course, horror. Speaking of fear, there are 1001 ways for manufacturers to make gamers’ hairs crawl. Let them touch their fears from visible to invisible: fear of heights, fear of the dark, fear of creepy sounds, fear of tight spaces, fear of falling on a plane, fear of ghosts and fear of things that have no clear shape…
But perhaps the biggest fear of people is being cornered in a strange place, finding no way out and being chased by a character who has turned into a demon.
To be fair, Evil Nun Maze: Endless Escape has not very special graphics. But this doesn’t seem to be a big deal as the ghostly demon still looks as scary as the Evil Nun movie we saw, and the old classroom labyrinth scene still gives me goosebumps.
Plot
Evil Nun Maze: Endless Escape is a horror game in the series of the legendary protagonist Evil Nun. The content revolves around the horror of having to find a way out of the school maze of the Devil’s School and find the last hidden secret.
You will play as William Bismarch, who is on a mission to explore every corner of Eagle High School, where the Devil’s Nun is guarding. You are also trying to find out all the secrets about Sister Madeline, who everyone knows has turned into a demon.
Madeline was originally a normal person. But after her only daughter was lost in an accident, she refused to accept it and prayed to the devil every day to get her daughter back. In the end, the devil obeyed, but with one condition, before that, she had to prove herself a worthy mother and make her children happy. Madeline decided to become a monk to fulfill this passion. But many events later caused Madeline to fail to keep her promise to the devil. So she was turned into a demon. With a lot of hatred in her heart and a dream about her unfinished daughter, Madeline became one of the scariest demons of all time, and was the inspiration of many movies and games.
By finding your own way out of the mazes of the school, you will slowly understand the story of the Devil Sister and get the answer to what you are looking for.
Gameplay
Your task consists of two parts that proceed in parallel. One is to find a way out of the maze of each floor in the school. The second is to run away from the Devil’s nun.
This is the thing. This school is extremely large. There are countless floors. Each floor is designed like a maze, no two are the same, different from texture, color to layout. In each maze there will be puzzles to lead you to the clue of a secret part and find your way out of the floor. But the special thing is that the mazes and puzzles are randomly generated in each play. So even if you play again you will see everything it’s different.
On the way to find the exit, you also need to continuously improve your skills to speed up the process. Specifically, after each escape, you will collect a lot of coins. Use coins to upgrade yourself, such as collecting fast running skills, shortening path skills, etc.
My feeling when playing the game
Appearing in an old murky school, looking around, the furnace went back and forth for a while and returned to its old place. Well, I’m lost in a maze. Black and unlucky. I soon found out I was being chased by the demon nun. The cruel thing is that I don’t have anything to take with me to protect myself. Wow, it’s exactly your bare hands. The scene is gray, dark, everything is covered with a layer of fog, the classroom looks familiar but in this scene it is so creepy. At this point, the feeling of ambiguity plus the ups and downs of not knowing when the nun will grab my neck makes me really nervous.
Play these horror games, remember to add external speakers, friends. To occasionally “be” startled by a loud background music or the pounding footsteps of the Devil.
The matrix in Evil Nun Maze: Endless Escape the first few floors are still easy to find. But until about Floor 10, it started to struggle. Remember to look up at the top of the screen, see the colorful icons, when you find and touch all those icons, you will find your way to the elevator and escape.
