Elemental Dungeon. A reasonable and beautiful name to give this game. To me, it’s one of the best classic graphics dungeon games I’ve ever known.

Introducing Elemental Dungeon
Developed since 2016, but it took until 2 years later, ie the end of 2018, this game was officially available on Android and iOS platforms. This game won a Silver Award at Innovation Competition 2018 and an Indie Prize at Casual Connect 2018.
Story
In Elemental Dungeon, you will transform into an elementalist. The person who is able to use the power of the natural elements (earth, water, fire, etc.), is on his way to uncovering the mysteries behind the elements and their true origins.
At the beginning of the game, you will meet a mysterious old man who will teach you how to control and use the elements of nature. For example, use fire to destroy wooden crates, use water to create a shield to protect you from the surrounding flames, or use earth to build giant walls. But that’s still not all you can do with the elements. As you go deep into the dungeon, you will meet a lot of different enemies, traps and the old man will show you how to use the elements to fight.
Elements
There are six elements in all in the game: Fire, Water, Earth, Lightning, Ice and Darkness. You can equip three elements at once. Elements can be combined to create more powerful spells. When you combine all 3 elements, you will have the most powerful magic. You can also create an elemental shield when you long press on an element, which protects you from a corresponding or opposing elemental damage. Elements can be upgraded with an element of the same type, usually at the altar, to activate special effects.
The gameplay is Soul Knight style, but unique
This game is extremely similar to Soul Knight in many ways, the first of which is the dungeon exploration gameplay. You will use your skills to overcome different levels. And when you die, everything will be reset, but the gates will be different thanks to the random mechanism.
Characters in the game do not use equipment to raise stats. Instead, the shops along the way will help you unlock new elements and new spells. You can combine them to create more advanced skills, effective combat combos.
Next, this game has a simple control style with virtual keys to move on the left, and on the right are virtual keys to use skills. By using a combination of control keys, you will have to move, attack and defend.
Monetary system
Up to 3 currencies are used in Elemental Dungeon: Gems, Energy Coins and Coins.
Gemstone is the “premium currency” used to buy new characters, upgrade elements, buy costumes… You can only earn a small amount of gems by completing quests. Also you can buy them with real money or get unlimited using the MOD version.
Energy Money is the only other currency that can be saved between dungeons. A few are earned when upgrading an element on an altar, or when a boss is killed.
Coin Can only be used in dungeons. It will be reset when you die or leave. You earn coins for killing enemies and you can use coins at altars or shops.
4 character classes to unlock
Elemental Dungeon allows you to unlock new characters such as Mage, Hunter, Ronin, Bomber. Characters will allow you to use different skills and play traits instead of playing the original character.
- Mage – The original character, is a curious rookie mage who looks very determined for his youth.
- Ronin, the second character in the game. You can unlock with 600 gems. Ronin is a warrior with mysterious powers.
- With 12000 power chips you will unlock this old hunter.
- Bomber, who always destroys with explosions. Price 900 gems.
Graphics and sound
The meaning of the name of the game would not be perfect without the old style pixel graphics and the sound of the game. It makes you feel the cold, dark in the deep dungeons, the power of magic and the danger of things lurking inside the door you are about to enter.
A true hoe game
Elemental Dungeon is a plowing-heavy game with a freemium model. You don’t have to spend money to pay for everything you need in the game, but you will have to work hard to spend more time. But I think it will take a long time, because the more you play, the more difficult dungeons you will discover, and stronger items and spells.
