About Aiment
Ailment is an action game with extremely unique pixel graphics. It has a classic atmosphere that evokes childhood memories of many people, while offering a unique storyline, set in the distant future.
Ailment was released at the end of 2019 by Ivan Panasenko. It received a lot of love and became one of the best indie games of the year. Plot
Ailment is set in the future, when humans are trying to travel through the universe in search of new life. There was a big storm in a galaxy. This causes the main character’s ship to crash. When he regained consciousness, he noticed abnormalities. He can’t remember a thing, while all the crew are infected with some kind of disease, making them extremely scary zombies.
The main character tries to contact the mother ship for help. But he must face the dangers ahead, try to remember what happened and find a way out of the current ship.
Survive and search for memories
The main character’s spaceship suddenly becomes a catastrophic battlefield. All of his comrades have become zombies and he must fight to survive, and find the truth about what happened.
The system gives you a semi-automatic machine gun and a pistol. By moving and tapping the Aim icon on the left side of the screen, the character will automatically aim at the enemy and shoot them.
There are a few points that you need to keep in mind. Firstly, Ailment is like a fast action game. The fight is very fast, the enemies are constantly approaching and shooting you. If you do not react in time, the character will lose health until death.
Second, keep moving. The advantage you have in Ailment is that you don’t need to aim. Therefore, move non-linearly to avoid bullets, and encirclement from enemies. Enemies tend to move close to you, whether they are zombies or those armed with machine guns.
Third, look for relief boxes. Undeniably, the character will be injured when facing a group of enemies. They were overwhelming in number and created a battlefield covered with bullets and smoke. So don’t skip any relief boxes. They can contain first aid boxes, help characters recover health or new guns, with extremely powerful destructive power.

Ailment has a bit of a puzzle element, as the doors in the ship are controlled by the computer system. This creates a maze, and you need to find the computers to open the corresponding portal.
Honestly, this isn’t really that difficult. During the game, try to move to all areas on the ship. If you come across a computer, activate it to open the portal, even if you don’t really need to open the gate. This will help you not to miss any gate.
Moreover, the map also shows the computer location you are looking for. Follow the path and you will find them. And in my personal experience, near the computer there are often support crates, which give you weapons, ammo and sometimes medkits to restore health.
Play with friends
